Sunday November 13th Buenos Aires

10.00 AM Private City tour in Southern Buenos Aires (San Telmo, La Boca, Monserrat)

We start the sightseeing at Downtown and Plaza de Mayo, the historical and foundational epicentre of Buenos Aires: around it, we can see the Metropolitan Cathedral where the mortal remains of General San Martín rest, the Government House known as “Pink House”, the Cabildo (old city council) and the current Municipality.  We drive through the Av. 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world, where we can see the symbolic Obelisco and the Theatre Colón.  Heading south, we will reach San Telmo, the “Tango” neighbourhood, where on Sundays we can walk its cobblestone streets and enjoy the music and dancing performed by street artists and buy several things at the Fair of Antiques and Handicrafts. We continue to La Boca, where we will walk the famous “Caminito”, an open air museum of Tango and of history about the immigrants, and Boca Juniors Football Stadium.

During the City tour, a guide specialized in Photography will accompany the group providing a Photographic Guide of the neighborhoods, a tuition in creative photography and Hashtags e-packs (the group will be asked to capture hashtags in small groups), review of the group´s photos after the activity.

Monday November 14th Buenos Aires

10.00 AM Private City tour in Northern Buenos Aires (Palermo, Recoleta)

We will visit one of the biggest and greenest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires: Palermo. Starting in the Park Tres de Febrero known as the “Bosques” or woods of Palermo, we will see the Rose Garden (Rosedal), the local Zoo, the Botanical Garden, the Carta Magna and the “Cuatro Regiones” beautiful monument as we drive through Av. Del Libertador. Later on, we reach Recoleta, a district featuring magnificent French style mansions, several embassies and art museums. We will stop at Plaza Francia where the Recoleta Cemetery is located, famous worldwide for the incredible works of art and architecture of its tombs. We visit Evita´s Tomb and those of other important Argentine figures of the past.

Tuesday November 15th Buenos Aires – Puerto Iguazú

Pick up from hotel and transfer to local airport to take flight to Puerto Iguazú, departing a t 09.05 AM, arriving at 10.55 AM.

Arrival at local airport, where you will be received by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Half Day Private Tour Brazilian Falls

We depart from the hotels in Puerto Iguazú and cross the border to visit the Iguaçu National Park in the Brazilian Side of the Falls. From here you will get another close-up view of the Devil´s Throat, which is best seen from the Brazilian side. From the park´s several viewpoints we will see the total 14 falls that pour down incredible amounts of water forming a permanent cloud of mist and vapor suspended overhead. Therefore, this is an area famous for its constant rainbows. The trail ends up at the Salto Floriano, where you can also take the elevator to the top of the falls or walk over the falls at Salto Union. Upon return, we make a short stop at the Duty Free Shop. 

Wednesday November 16th Iguazú

Private Full Day tour to Argentinian Falls + Great Adventure

We depart from Puerto Iguazú to the Iguazú National Park in Argentina to explore the main hiking circuits and trails. The Lower Circuit is a 1.3 KM trail that allows you to get close to some of the smaller waterfalls in the Iguazú river. We will walk this trail, stopping at several viewpoints, like the Carlos Bozzetti waterfall,  to take breathtaking photos. This area is equipped with restrooms and snack bars. The Upper Circuit allows you to see the top of the majestic falls  in the Argentinian park and get panoramic views of the whole area. The view goes from the San Martín island and fall to parts of the falls in the Brazilian side. The Devil´s Throat is the largest of all and the one with the largest amount of water pouring down the river below. It has an astounding height of 107 meters, this is certainly a must-see for all tourists and thanks to a newly built catwalk, you can now get as close as possible to the site. 

Great Adventure

The Great Adventure is the perfect complementary activity to complete your visit to the Argentinian side of the falls. In one single trip, you will discover the very essence of the national park: the jungle and the waterfalls. We depart from the Visitor´s Center and board the trucks that will take us into a Jungle Safari following the Yacaratá trail. This 5 Km ride ends at Puerto Macuco. At the dock, visitors will board the ship and sail the lower Iguazú river for 6 KM, heading towards the falls and enjoying the rapids. The boat will reach the Tres Mosqueteros Fall from where visitors will see falls of both Argentinian and Brazilian sides and a view of the Devil´s Throat. . The most exciting part of the trip is close-up ride below the San Martín waterfall, second to Devil´s Throat in dimension. Duration: 1 Hour. 

Thursday November 17th Iguazú– Buenos Aires

Pick up from hotels and transfer to local airport to take flight to Buenos Aires, departing at 11.35 AM, arriving at 1.30 PM.  Transfer from local airport Aeroparque to hotel Casa Sur.

7.30 PM Pick up from hotel and transfer to “Argentine Experience” Dinner and Cooking Class

The Argentine Experience offer you a completely unique dining experience which cleverly blends exquisite food and wine, local culture and social integration. Guests are mixed around in two 14 person banquet tables, led by charismatic guides and supported by our international team.

You get taught to make your own traditional empanadas, then get creative in Argentina´s 1st and only novelty empanada competition with fantastic prizes. Enjoy grilled provoleta cheese with sliced chorizo sausage, warm bread and homemade chimichurri.

Next enjoy what many are claiming to be the very best steak in Argentina, accompanied with velvety mashed potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. For dessert, make your own alfajores, where biscuits, dulce de leche, melted chocolate fondue and coconut shavings combine to delight the senses.

Also get taught about the historty and etiquette of Mate, Argentina´s national pastime and prepare it yourself.

Friday November 18th Buenos Aires

11.00 AM Pick up for hotels and transfer to San Fernando Marina, where we will board “Bruma” boat for a private Sailing through the Delta and islets of Paraná river. Bruma is a traditional boat that used to be the only mean of transportation of goods between the villagers that live along the coasts of the Delta. We will sail several streams, sightseeing nature and houses, until we reach San Antonio river where we anchor and have lunch on board.

The menu portrays traditional Argentine gastronomy: Brie Cheese, Prosciutto, Choripán, roasted loin, baked potatoes in cream, avocado, tomatoes and rocket salads, Bread pudding with dulce de leche, wine Alamos, beer, soda drinks and water, Coffee.

By 5.00 PM we return to the Marina, transfer and return to Buenos Aires.

09.00 PM Farewell Dinner Party at a local home in one of the best secret Rooftops in Buenos Aires. Food, drinks, music and local friends, the perfect combo to say goodbye to BA!

Eating out is a big part of travelling, but eating at a home restaurant, well, it´s definetly not something you get to do very often! It´s a pretty crazy concept perfectly suited to curious culture diggers and open-minded souls.
