Villa la Angostura it's becoming somewhat of a jet-set stop in Patagonia; its cottages are owned by a "who's who" of Portenos. Villa la Angostura has plenty of coast line along the north shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake for sailing, fishing, swimming, and sunning. The sweet main street is tidy and quaint, with good shops and some excellent restaurants. The eastern suburb of Bahia Manzano has a collection of cozy wooden lodges that hug the shore

 

 

 

Day 1 – Buenos Aires – Villa la Angostura

Departure from Aeroparque at 08.30 AM  arriving at 10.55 AM at Bariloche airport. Transfer to hotel in Villa La Angostura

Circuito Angostura

This is a 3 hour introductory tour to Villa La Angostura combining the beautiful local landscapes and our history. We depart toward River Correntoso where it is possible to observe the trouts in their natural habit, cristal water and rapids. We return to the town through the Green Lagoon Circuit (a natural reserve), until reaching the villa and the Istmus Quetrihué, which represents the geographical feature that give name to the town. We will know the ports Bahia Mansa and Bahia Brava and historical buildings, symbols of a past time, like the Residence El Messidor, the historical center where the town was founded in 1932. Then we pass the comercial center and continue to Puerto Manzano, where we find a bay of great beauty.We return to the hotel

Day 2 Villa La Angostura

Bosque de Arrayanes sailing

The Arrayanes woods is more than just a tour, it has become a symbol of Villa La Angostura. It is located in the extreme of the Quetrihué Penynsula that is born in the harbour of the town and it extends for 12 km getting inside the lake Nahuel Huapi and forming the National Park Arrayanes. We take a catamaran to get to the woods where we will make a walking through this unique woods. Another option is to do one way on boat and return by bycicle. The Arrayán is common in all the park, but only in this place we see such a great amount of samples and some of them older than 650 years.

Day 3 Villa la Angostura

Route of the Seven Lakes to San Martín de los Andes

This is a full day tour that will take us through the epic route known as “the seven lakes”. We depart from the hotel through RN 40 until Lake Espejo (“mirror”) where the road begins. We will go through many lakes on the way: Correntoso, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Machónico, Lacar. All of them are of glacial origin and constitute a real natural heritage in the region. Along the way we will make several stops on the viewpoints and enjoy the scenery. The final stop is in the beautiful town of San Martin de los Andes at the shores of Lake Lacar, here we will have time to lunch (not included) and walk around the city. We come back to Villa la Angostura at 18.00 pm.

Day 4  Villa La Angostura – Buenos Aires

Transfer to airport to take flight to Buenos Aires. Departure at 15.45 PM,  arriving at 17.40 PM
